Membership in
Rolling Thunder is not something to be based on a whimsical decision, a
desire to belong to an association, or a lackluster commitment.
We are not a motorcycle club even though many of our members ride
motorcycles. We are a "band of brothers and sisters in arms" committed to
and willing to fight to bring our POW's and MIA's home. Your membership
is such a statement about you. It means that you are willing to
abide by the constitution and by-laws and give freely of your time
toward publicizing and educating the public on the POW-MIA issue, assisting veterans, and
attending meetings and events.
We rely on volunteer
member donations of time and effort to sustain the Chapter and the
organization as a whole. We expect (within reason) members to
attend the annual "Run for the Wall" in Washington, DC every Memorial
Day weekend. If you are unable or unwilling to make the commitment
to these sacrifices, please do not apply for membership in our
organization but do feel free to attend meetings and support us as a
non-member.
Please take a
moment to review the National
Constitution to determine if you are truly
interested in joining our organization. These are the rules that
govern us and those you will be expected to abide by should you decide to
join us.
